SECOND INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC - PRACTICAL CONFERENCE
"GEOPOLITICS, GEOECONOMICS AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS PROBLEMS. NATO AND EU EXPANSION TO THE EAST – SECURITY PROBLEMS OF RUSSIA, CIS STATES, EUROPE AND ASIA"

DEAR COLLEAGUES!

We are glad to inform you that The SECOND INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC - PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “GEOPOLITICS, GEOECONOMICS AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS PROBLEMS. NATO AND EU EXPANSION TO THE EAST – SECURITY PROBLEMS OF RUSSIA, CIS STATES, EUROPE AND ASIA " will be held in Saint Petersburg in 20-21 November, 2007.

The following questions are to be discussed at plenary and sectional meetings:

1. Historical aspects and consequences of one-way annulation of The Warsaw Treaty and saving military-and-political NATO bloc;
2. Influence of The Warsaw Treaty annulation and the Soviet Union collapse on Russia, CIS sates, Europe and Asia security;
3. Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombing by US forces, Belgrade and Baghdad bombing and other US and EU states military operations in 20-21 centuries. Investigation of war management technologies and functional purpose of military operations;
4. Analysis of the balance variation of Russia (Soviet Union) and NATO states military forces, their arming types, combativity in 1980-2007.;
5. Analysis of the balance variation of military forces and military industrial complexes finance support in Russia (Soviet Union) and NATO states in 1980-2007;
6. Problems and prospects of saving and developing geopolitically adequate defense potentialities and national security in Russia and CIS states in 2007-2035;
7. All states self defense rights in monopolar world and nuclear non-proliferation treaties changing adequate to new geopolitical environment;
8. Theoretical and practical basis under preventive measures developing for internal military intervention fight in the conditions of interstate conflicts blowing;
9. Law, political, economic, financial and informative problems of Russia defense potentialities and national security maintenance in 2007-2035;
10. Television, cinema and other media and propaganda tools as a mechanism for intervention, war preparation and war management in conditions of informational space globalization and liberalization;
11. Technical, political, economic, financial and informative ways of the 3 rd World War running. Possible development alternative analysis;
12. Theoretical and practical basis for Russia military-technical politics in conditions of fast-developing world geopolitical situation;
13. Scientific and practical aspects of informative security;
14. Scientific and technological, political, financial and purveyance state security. Problems and ways out ;
15. Up-to-date ecological security problems, including military threats;
16. Problems and prospects of new global military-political blocks creation aiming to compensate NATO block military threats and develop new fair multipolar world;
17. Problems and prospects of democratic and civilized international law and world construction, problems of all world states steady development;
18. The army as the basic moving force and argument of interstate politics, geopolitics and international relations.

The list of questions to be introduced for discussion at the Conference may be widened at Your request.

We propose you and scientific workers of your University, Institute, Institution to take an active part in the Conference and in the work of Organizing Committee. The deadline for sending applications to participate in the Conference is 10.11.2007. Your application should contain the following information:

1. First name and last name of authors;
2. Title and length of paper abstracts;
3. Affiliation (if materials are presented by the institution);
4. First name and last name of a speaker;
5. Mailing address, fax and e-mail.

The official language of the Conference is Russian and English, synchronous translation into English will be provided for foreign participants. Authors, who cannot attend the Conference, are also invited to submit their papers for publication in the Conference Proceedings. The papers submitted should be no longer than two А4 pages or five pages for plenary reports. The deadline for submitting papers is 10.11.2007. The Conference Proceedings will be published prior to the beginning of its work.

More detailed information on conditions of participation in the International Conference will be sent after reception of the application.
